Kimchi & Marmite 2008 Registration
To kick things off in 2008, we've put conference registration and membership together in one - so by completing the registration application, you will be registered for the Kimchi & Marmite Conference on July 18th/19th 2008, and automatically become a member of Kowiana for 08/09.Cool! How do I register?
It costs $30.00 (incl GST), and we have two ways you can register - via an online form here, or via a paper-based PDF form you can print out here.
Online Form: If you register with the online form, we accept two methods of payment: direct deposit via internet banking, or cheques through the mail. If you decide to pay by cheque, the address is listed below, but further instructions will be emailed to you after you complete the form.
Paper-based Form: If you register with the paper-based form, we are only able to accept cheque payments. You will need to mail the completed registration form with an enclosed cheque to:

Update: The conference registration fee has changed!
The registration fee has been reduced from $45.00 (incl GST) to $30.00 (incl GST) on 20 June to help more people come along to the Conference. If you have registered and paid before 20 June, we will arrange reimbursement for you. Those affected will receive an email from our Treasurer shortly.
Terms and Conditions for Conference
The Kowiana Association of New Zealand ("Kowiana"), the organisers of Kimchi & Marmite Conference (the "Conference"), have invited you ("you") to attend the Conference subject to these terms and conditions (the "Terms"). Your attendance at the Conference is evidence that you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not attend the Conference under any circumstances.1. Service
Subject to clause 9 (Cancellation), Kowiana will, as detailed more specifically in the Conference Programme provided to you, conduct the opening day reception on 18 July 2008 and the seminars and workshops on 19 July 2008.
2. Payment for service
You will pay Kowiana the conference fee disclosed to you in the Conference Registration Form provided on or before 18 July 2008 to attend the Conference. Your place in the Conference will be secured only after the receipt of the payment by Kowiana. This conference fee will not be refundable under any circumstances.
3. Representation
You acknowledge that you do not represent, and agree that you will not claim to represent Kowiana, the Conference or any members of the Conference or Kowiana in any circumstances or communications whatsoever.
4. Liability
You acknowledge and agree that neither Kowiana, nor its members, agents or employees shall be liable to you for any loss, damage or claim arising out of or in connection with the Conference (whether in contract, tort or otherwise), or any the performance or provision of services on the part of Kowiana or on the part of the members, agents or employees thereof.
5. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Kowiana and keep Kowiana indemnified against any loss, damage, actions, claims, proceedings, costs or expenses which may be suffered by, made against or taken against Kowiana as a result of your actions or omissions.
6. Health and safety
You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own health and safety, and will employ your best endeavours to maintain such health and safety while in attendance at the Conference.
7. Lost Property
Kowiana shall hold any lost property left at the Conference for a period of 7 days following the conclusion of the Conference. You consent and agree to any such property that you may leave at the Conference being gifted to charity if you do not claim it during this 7 day period.
8. Personal information
On registering to attend the Conference you acknowledge that the personal information you supply to us through the use of online forms, registration and feedback will be used for the purposes of Kowiana including administration matters, provision of services and dissemination of information to you, Kowiana members and other potential interested parties. It will not be distributed to any third party without your permission.
9. Cancellation
Kowiana reserves the right to cancel the Conference at any time and for any reason, at its sole discretion. Kowiana shall not be obliged to refund any fees paid by you in relation to the Conference and shall not be liable for any losses suffered by you in relation to such cancellation.
10. Entire agreement
This agreement constitutes the complete statement of the agreement between the parties and supersedes all previous agreements or understandings oral or written and all communication between the parties related to the provision of Services and the Agreement.
11. Variation
You may not amend or alter these Terms. Kowiana reserves the right to alter or amend these Terms at any time, with such amendments taking effect immediately and without notice. You agree to be bound by any such amendments from time to time.
